Description
The PMI-SP credential recognizes demonstrated knowledge and advanced expertise in the specialized area of developing and maintaining the project schedule. It is suitable for any project team members with advanced expertise in project scheduling management. This global credential acknowledges individuals who strengthen and support project management by offering knowledge specific to project scheduling.
The PMI-SP Role Delineation states that candidates for the credential:
• Can create and maintain the project schedule
• Be able to analyze the project schedule
• Should be able to report and communicate the schedule to the project team
Requirements
Option 1:
- Educational Background: High school diploma, associate’s degree or global equivalent
- Project Scheduling Experience: At least 5,000 hours spent in the specialized area of professional project scheduling within the last five consecutive years
- Project Scheduling: 40 contact hours of formal education in the specialized area of project scheduling
OR
Option 2:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent
- Project Scheduling Experience: At least 3,500 hours spent in the specialized area of professional project scheduling within the last five consecutive years
- Project Scheduling: 30 contact hours of formal education in the specialized area of project scheduling
